Saturdays used to be getting up early to meet my group to walk from Hermosa Beach pier to Manhattan Beach pier. There we would rest a little and enjoy the sights before heading back. This little seagull caught my eye one day. I think it would be the equivalent of a teenager, still has not fully shed the brown feathers on her head but already have most of the white feathers on her body. There was something about the way it was looking at me playfully that made me wonder what it was thinking.
